Any accomplishments in amateur combat sports? Colorado High School Wrestling State Tournament 3rd place 2011, Colorado High School Wrestling State Champ 2012, Colorado Freestyle Wrestling State Champ 2012, Colorado Greco-Roman Wrestling State Champ 2012, 5th Place at Fargo Nationals 2012 in Greco-Roman Wrestling.

Who are your main training partners? Brandon Royval, Alex Hernandez, Corey Sandhagen

Any belts/ ranks in grappling disciplines? BJJ blue belt

What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career? As of now, the DWCS fight that got me into the UFC. 6 days notice, 30lb cut, contract secured against one of the best wrestlers in the nation. Crazy fight and week.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? Volk, he’s a great champion, love his style as the smaller fighter in a lot of his fights and his mentality. Also love cooking so his cooking show is fun to watch

Do you have any heroes outside of fighting? My parents

Is there a cause that you want to use your platform for? Breast Cancer Awareness, last year my mother overcame breast cancer which was incredibly stressful going through as a family. Thankfully she’s now cancer free but if I can bring more awareness for others that’s what I’d like to do. Planning in working with some non profits after this fight.

Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you? To show people that if they have a dream, they can achieve it. I only fought for 3 years before getting into the UFC. Had my first kickboxing class 5 months before my first fight. If one man can do something so can you. I just want to show people to overcome their fear and take that leap, live with no regrets

Personal Life / Background: Divorced last year, have a fat lil pitbull name Rico. Love archery, hiking, trail running, and snowboarding.

Former D2 wrestler at Colorado School of Mines and Adams State University. Suffered severe knee injuries at regionals last two years of wrestling when ranked highly in the nation.
